Lighting Efficiency and Design
At l.e.d., Inc. (Lighting Efficiency & Design), we pride ourselves on the quality of our work, and the satisfaction of our customers, not the few extra dollars we can make by cutting corners or using second rate materials. If we sound like the kind of LED lighting company you would trust to convert your facility to energy-efficient lighting, give us a call. We’d be honored.
Meet our Team
Chris Fall – Co-Founder & President
After 15 years of working in the solid waste industry for large corporations, Chris started his own waste management company in 2006. While managing his company, new rules and regulations appeared regarding “Universal Waste” and the proper disposal of fluorescent lamps and other devices containing mercury, lead and other toxic substances. Through that process, he began to learn more about energy efficient lighting products and light emitting diodes, or LED’s, that are not harmful to the environment and last up to 10 times longer than traditional alternatives.
Chris used this knowledge to open Lighting Efficiency & Design (LED Inc.) in 2010, with his partner, and co-founder Ryan Murphy. In 2013, the Company received the prestigious, “Small Business of the Year” award for the 38th Assembly District, for their efforts in Environmental Stewardship and Community Philanthropy.
Under Chris’ leadership, Lighting Efficiency & Design’s attention to detail, commitment to educating each client about this new field, providing multiple alternatives to each project, and flawless handling of complex installations, has set LED Inc. apart from their competition. While every customer has a different reason for upgrading their lighting, according to Chris, “The common theme is that we provide our customers the very best products, the very best pricing and the highest energy savings in the industry, period!”
A successful Santa Clarita businessman who cares deeply for the community he serves, Chris sits on many local foundation Boards including the Boy & Girls Club, Henry Mayo Memorial Hospital and is a current Parks Commissioner for the City of Santa Clarita. Chris also served for 6 years on the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce Board and was its Chairman in 2006.
Ryan Murphy – Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer
Ryan worked his way up through the ranks of local commercial services leader “Magic Maintenance” in Valencia, California starting in 2002. Over the past 12 years, he gained valuable experience in customer service, various hands-on “in the field” positions, department management, and then as director of field operations, as general manager, and finally as senior vice president. After the economic slowdown in 2004, under his guidance, the company grew by nearly two-fold by entering new geographies and adding new service offerings. In one such expansion, Magic Maintenance got into the lighting supplies and maintenance business for HOA’s and for new home builders.
It was through Magic’s experience in the lighting business that Ryan got a first hand view of how much money is actually spent by businesses to replace burned-out conventional light bulbs. When one of his largest customers asked him to investigate the costs to convert their conventional lighting to LED’s, the pieces began to fall into place for Ryan. He approached long time confidante Chris Fall who had similarly been watching the growth of LED lighting, but from the perspective of hazardous waste disposal.
Soon thereafter, in 2010, Lighting Efficiency & Design, Inc. (LED Inc.) was born. Ryan’s deep experience in servicing many types of commercial businesses, with a broad array of service offerings makes Ryan an excellent head of operations for LED Inc. Regardless of how big the project, how involved the logistics, or how complex the installation, Ryan’s experienced team knows how to execute flawlessly. And this is a critical capability when businesses convert to LED’s and other high efficiency lighting solutions. Nothing is more important than predictable schedules, predictable results, and limited downtime when lighting projects are implemented, and that requires an experienced and capable operations team.
Randy Sreden – Vice President of Sales
Nearly 25 years ago, Randy started in the lighting industry as a part-time salesman to put himself through college. He had intended to go into the family business when he graduated but found that he enjoyed lighting sales so much that he sold the family business in 1996 so that he could go to work full-time selling commercial and industrial lighting products for Premium Quality Lighting (PQL) in Simi Valley.
Randy’s strong knowledge of the lighting business, along with his engaging personality helped him become PQL’s top performing sales rep for 12 straight years. Particularly adept at cultivating and servicing large national retail chains, Randy brought on Panda Express, Tilly’s Clothing, Hard Rock Cafe, Dave & Busters, and many more. After becoming PQL’s first $1,000,000 sales rep, Randy was promoted to manage the entire 20 person sales team.
In 2011, Randy showed his entrepreneurial side by starting his own lighting company, quickly growing it from a one-man startup to a 3400 square foot facility. Now merging with LED Inc., Randy brings incredible product and market knowledge along with proven sales management skills to the LED team.
Randy continues to focus his experience and lighting knowledge, along with a little bit of humor, on bringing LED’s clients the latest and best efficient lighting products, at the very best prices, all with his special brand of customer service.
